At first glance, this watch looks like a standard matte Long E MK 1, but closer inspection shows it to be the rarer MK 0.5 dial, a subtle transitional variant.
It features the earlier slim small GMT-hand and smaller, tighter lume plots set closer to the minute track. The plots are filled with an early zinc sulfide–based luminous material, applied thinner and with a slightly grainy texture typical of these early dials. The case sits in the 1.6x million serial range, right in the known transitional window where MK 0.5 dials appear. Dial, hands, and serial all line up correctly. The case is in strong, honest condition with even lugs and visible chamfers, showing normal wear only. No signs of heavy polishing. Bezel teeth are sharp and the Pepsi insert tops this watch off. Dial and hands are clean and original, with evenly aged lume. The watch runs well and keeps good time. It comes fitted with a matching 1967 Jubilee bracelet, and is accompanied by original matching paperwork, both increasingly hard to find and great additions from a collectability standpoint. A correct, attractive MK 0.5 GMT-Master with great presence on the wrist. Dont hestitate to reach out for this watch.
