Here’s something you don’t see every day: a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Ref. 1500 with a factory black dial that takes things a step further, featuring rarely seen stylized numerals at the 6 and 9 hour markers. Subtle, but striking. Quietly different. The watch is very very old and the radium dots are very nice faded. it's very rare to see a 1500 this old as it's the first of the line and only for short while was made with radium and with all kinds of test dials. This configuration is the first we have seen and could be only one. 

Housed in a classic 34mm stainless steel Oyster case, this watch strikes a perfect balance between vintage charm and everyday versatility. The dial remains the star here,deep black with a faded finish that sets the stage for those quirky 6 and 9 numerals that give it a personality at its own. Framed by a smooth bezel, it’s all classic Rolex, just with a twist.
